Congratulations to Fran's Place, owned by Frances and Jerry Osborne, on being selected as the Business of the Month for July. The downtown cafe, which is located at 208 East Main Street, has been in business for 12 years. The cafe serves breakfast and lunch and is open Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Among the homemade items served at Fran's are biscuits and gravy, bread, soups, and desserts. There are daily specials at the cafe, and these can be found on the Internet at www.fransmenu.com. The business recognition program was established as a way to show appreciation to Chamber member businesses and to provide information about products and services available at those businesses. Another goal of the program is to encourage people to shop locally by raising awareness about the wide variety of products and services available in our community. The program was developed by the Economic Development Committee, and businesses are chosen at random from the Chamber membership. |
